Welcome to our proposal for Hollins Lane Dog Field

At the moment, we are still working through approvals and development (we currently have a pre-planning application in with Sheffield City Council). In the meantime, we’ve been asked so many questions about what we have planned—what exactly is a private hire dog field, and what will it look like? To help, we’ve set up this website, along with Facebook and Instagram pages, to answer your questions, take suggestions, and keep you updated on progress, ideas, and news.

What we have planned in our proposal

More than Just a field

At Hollins Lane Dog Field, we believe that dog fields should be more than just sterile grass patches.

The plans for the field include a grassed area in the first half, with dog tunnels, a natural stone circle, mounds, and logs—an area where your dog can run and play, as well as a great space for training. The second half of the field will be a woodland meadow, filled with long (dog-safe) meadow grass and lots of native trees. A path with benches for owners will run through the meadow, but the main focus will be on creating a space where your dog can sniff and explore nature.

We are also open to ideas, help us create the perfect dog park. Do you have a "bone" to pick about things you would like to see in a dog field? Help us "fetch" the best ideas by "unleashing" your creativity and emailing us below with any "paw-sible" suggestions that you have.
